Rep. Jared Huffman Town Hall

Rep. Jared Huffman Town Hall

Rep. Jared Huffman returns to the Humboldt Nation this month.

Please join Rep. Huffman for a town hall at St. Bernard’s Academy, with special guest Assemblymember Jim Wood. They will discuss the impacts of the government shutdown, talk about shared priorities for California’s North Coast, and prepare for the President’s 2019 State of The Union Address.

This event is free and open to the public. Please click here to register. Seating is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis up to capacity.

H.R. 1: Strengthening Our Democracy

Bill number 1 is usually reserved for the top legislative priority of the party in control of that chamber.  Now that the House of Representatives is “Our House,” it’s time to introduce this democracy reform package, focused on voter empowerment and access, getting big money out of politics, and cracking down on corruption.

The National Indivisible is supporting this bill on their website.  Read all about it right here.

In addition, Rep. Huffman is asking for your support on H.R. 1.  Read Jared’s message here and add your name in support.

In addition, Susan Diehl-McCarthy has created a very cool T-shirt design to wear in support of the march.   You provide the shirt and Susan will apply the design for $5.00.  This deal is so good, you could even give a little more.   Just drop off your T-shirt with your name on an envelope and cash inside at the following locations in Ferndale:

John and Barb’s home at 1095 Cream Court

Betty Diehl’s home at 719 Main Street

Note: Please drop off your shirt this weekend.
