Help Save Our Country Now!

Indivisible Ferndale’s theme for the month of August was “Get Out the Vote!”  At the Humboldt County Fair, we did just that by getting the word out about the midterms and registering voters.   In 70 days, the fate of our democracy will be decided.

At our general meeting earlier in the month, I asked you to sign up to “Get the Vote Out” beyond the Humboldt Nation and you did.  Twenty one members signed up to write postcards to voters in Republican held congressional districts in California.

Postcard Writing Workshop

Date: Thursday, August 30

Time: 7 to 8:30 pm

Location: John and Barbara’s home at 1095 Cream Court in Ferndale

Action: Writing postcards to voters in Congressional district 25 in support of Katie Hill.

View Katie Hill’s website here.

We will provide the postcards, pens, script and addresses.

You provide the creativity and the sense of urgency to turn CA-25 from Red to Blue!

ALL are welcome!

Texting Workshop

Everyone sends text messages to everyone these days.   Did you know that this same technology can be used to reach voters as well?  Twenty IF members signed up to use this technology to Get Out the Vote!

Action: Bring your phone and learn how to use texting to reach voters!

Date: Wednesday, September 5

Time: 6:45 to 8:30 pm

Location: Kristie and Mark Fellows’ home at 1371 Lincoln Street, Ferndale

ALL are welcome!

Last, but never least . . .

Special THANKS to our friends at Cloverdale Indivisible, Vicky Groom and Pam Browning,  who helped us “get connected” with their friends to make these workshops possible in the Humboldt Nation!

I can’t say this enough: Together, We are Indivisible!
