“Families Belong Together!” is the theme for Indivisible Ferndale this month. It is time to resist and protest against the separation of families at America’s borders. It is time to have your voice heard in defense of those who seek sanctuary in America. It is time to march again and call upon our Members of Congress and our governor to take action.
Take it to the streets again!
Join the Families Belong Together marches across the country!
- Date: Saturday, June 30
- Time: 10 am to gather and rally
- Location: Madaket Plaza in Old Town at the end of C Street, Eureka
- If you are interested in carpooling, meet at Firemen’s Park at 8:45 am
The march will begin at 10:30 from the Madaket Plaza in Old Town up 2nd street to the Carson Mansion and then loop back down to rally together in front of the DHS office on the corner of 3rd and C Streets.
Make your voice heard!
The Eel River Power Lunch phone warriors met once again this past Friday, June 22 at Firemen’s Park. The themes of the call sheets (as always provided by Elizabeth Conner) included end the “Zero Tolerance” policy, reunite separated families and stop placing families in deplorable detention camps. The ERV Power lunch team made over 130 phone calls to our MOCs (including representatives in other states), our governor companies that are supporting the detention effort (i.e., Accenture, Trailboss).
Now it is your turn to pick up your phone and have your voice heard! Here are the call sheets.
Fourth of July Parade
Join the Humboldt County Democrats, Indivisible Fortuna and Indivisible Ferndale as we celebrate our nation’s birthday! We had a great time last year participating in Ferndale’s parade. View photos from last year on Indivisible Ferndale’s website.
We will meet on 5th Street at 11 am decorating our flatbed truck. The parade will begin at noon.
If you would like to march down Main Street with us again, Please RSVP here.
Last, but not least . . . County Fair time in August
The Humboldt County Fair will be held from Thursday, August 16 through Sunday, August 26 and Indivisible Ferndale will be participating at the Humboldt County Democrats booth again this year. Working at the Democratic booth is a great way to connect with community members and explain who we are and what we are trying to accomplish. Last year, about 20 IF members worked shifts throughout the fair’s run. A number of us have already signed up to participate and now you can to.
If you are interested in booth duty, Please email Chris Will.
Together, We are Indivisible!
