Elizabeth Egan, the woman behind Instagram’s 100 Postcards, took notice of Stacey Abrams’ important win in Georgia this week.

Just in case you haven’t heard, Stacey Abrams won the Georgia Democratic primary and, if elected in November, will become the first African American woman governor in our nation’s history.   And, she’s running on a progressive platform which protects reproductive healthcare, requires universal background checks on gun purchases, strengthens voting rights and promotes affordable healthcare.

She ran on a platform of progressive issues and received 75% of the democratic primary vote!   And in the Deep South, her campaign is focused on getting women, people of color and young people to the polls in November.

Read an excellent article in Rolling Stone here about Stacey’s win and what it means not only to Georgia, but to the national Democratic Party and the upcoming midterm elections.

Also of interest is an article in this week’s SF Chronicle about the origins of Stacey’s campaign funding from Northern California.  Read the article here.
