Congressman Huffman is coming next week and our endangered coastline

Please join Congressman Huffman at a public input meeting at the Wharfinger Building on Monday, August 14th where he will explain his newly-unveiled draft legislation to guard communities against wildfires, provide local jobs, and protect Northern California’s spectacular wild places and pristine streams on federal lands. Congressman Huffman’s draft legislation would restore forests and fish habitat, benefit local economies, enhance recreational opportunities, and reduce fire danger to protect communities. The meeting will focus on the draft legislation exclusively. Additional public town halls on other topics will be scheduled in the coming weeks.

National Marine Sanctuary Action

A new message from Elizabeth Conner and an additional Call Sheet.  From Elizabeth: “I am attaching to this notice a Call Sheet about Defending our National Marine Sanctuaries that I hope you will use to call from this week as the input deadline is August 15, 2017. Trump signed an Executive Order to review these Sanctuaries so that off-shore oil-drilling can proceed.  There are many calls to be made, however written comments also need to be submitted on this one.
