August Recess is here, but NOT for Indivisible Ferndale!

Welcome to the month of  August.  The August Recess begins today for Congress, but not for Indivisible Ferndale!  We’ve got work to do!

It was great to see everyone this past Sunday at Mike and Corrie’s home for potluck!  We had six new members join our ranks!  Check out the “Swear Jar” on the table in the center.  We must have sworn a lot because there was $75 in the jar at the end of the meeting.  Both the Community and Representation committees have done more amazing work over the last month.  Stuart did a great job introducing issues and actions at the Federal level.  Read Jeanne’s report here.

Coffee Chat with Senator McGuire

First up, join us this Saturday, August 5 for Senator Mike McGuire’s Coffee Chat from 2:00 to 3:30 pm in the Old Steeple.  If you are working “hospitality” for us, please plan to be there no later than 1 pm.

This will be a great opportunity to meet our progressive friends throughout the Humboldt Nation including: Indivisible Fortuna, Eureka and Arcata; Humboldt County Democrats, Northcoast People’s Alliance, Mad River Action Network, North Coast People Power and Power to the People Lunch.

Indivisible Ferndale at the Humboldt County Fair

Barbara Carolan from the Humboldt County Democrats attended our potluck meeting to ask for our help to work “the booth” at the Humboldt County Fair.  Barbara passed around a sign up sheet which many members signed.  A final roster will be posted on this website prior to opening day.   Thank you, Barbara and Thank you, Indivisible Ferndale volunteers!

Indivisible Ferndale now on Facebook

As much as I resisted Facebook, I finally came around thanks to Jessica, Clyde and Terry!  Indivisible Ferndale now has a Facebook group page.  Every time we publish a post on the website, it will appear on the Facebook page as well.  Tell your friends.  Check it out here.

And last, but not least . . .  Indivisible

Here’s your weekly update from the Indivisible mothership!   Read it here.
