Remember why we celebrate the Fourth of July?

The fourth of July is almost here.  The Fourth is a day of celebration.  It’s the day our nation gained its independence from the tyranny imposed by the British Empire.  It’s the day our democracy began.   And now our nation is being threatened again, but this time from within . . .

Ferndale’s Fourth of July Parade

This year in Ferndale you have the opportunity to stand up for what you believe in.  Indivisible Ferndale will be marching in the Ferndale Fourth of July parade!   Thanks to Stuart Altschuler, we have a place in the parade.  I will be bringing 10 “Indivisible Ferndale” signs to carry.  If you have an “In Our America” sign, bring it!  We will be joining the Humboldt Democratic Club and the Ferndale Democratic Caucus.  Once again, Caroline and Stu Titus are loaning us their infamous red VW bug.   If you want to show your support, please show up:

  • Date: Tuesday, July 4
  • Time: 11:00 am
  • Location: Fifth Street and Centerville Road in Ferndale (where else?)

In Our America

If you need some red, white and blue for the Fourth, we still have a few “In Our America” signs left.  Give Barbara Vernon a call at 786-7172 and drop by our home to pick up your very own.  Each sign is $15 cash or by check payable to “Stephen Avis.”

Look for another post later this week with updates to our July calendar and “Actions” pages.

Together, We are Indivisible!

Thanks John for the reminder. Having been in the parade the past two years,
I can tell everyone that it is a blast. The folks on the sidewalks are very supportive
too. May I suggest that we encourage people to join us as we make our way down
Main Street!! The more the merrier.
