Postcard Writing Party this Thursday, April 6

Indivisible Ferndale Members,

We are kicking off our post-card writing parties this week.

Date: Thursday, April 6

Time: 6:30 to 8 pm

Location: Jennifer and Stephen’s home at 1057 5th Street

Jennifer and I will host this gathering at our home and will provide postcards of Ferndale, pens and postage stamps.  We are allowing 90 minutes and we’ll gauge if more or less time is appropriate for future sessions.  I think this will give us adequate time to discuss a number of topics  then take pen to paper.

You will be provided the names and mailing addresses of our legislators.  We are represented at the national level by three officials and by two in Sacramento.  So, up to five postcards written plus an hour of good conversation.

You can bring ideas to share about the Trump presidency that can be topics for post cards.  You can bring inspiring post cards to share.  The idea is to capture the attention of congressional staffers when sorting the mail.  If you are inclined, you can bring a dessert to share –  no alcohol this night though, we’re serious.  Coffee and tea will be available.

Everyone is invited to participate at one time or another.  You can be inspired to attend just once by a single topic plan or attend each session.  It all works just fine.  Other hosts will identified and a next meeting date will be established before we close up shop.

See you then,

Stephen Avis
